DECATUR, Ga. — DeKalb Watershed Mangement crews have restored water service to customers affected customers in the 700 block of Coventry Road in Decatur, but, officials said water is still running down the roadway.

About 150 to 200 customers had their service interrupted when a 16-inch water main was damaged by contractors who bored a hole in that location.

Although service was restored for customers during the early morning hours on Saturday, water was still flowing down Coventry Road. Crews are still working to cap that part of the leak.

Watershed Management officials said that any customers who experience brown water from their taps should run the water until it is clear.

Any customers with questions should contact the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management at 770-270-6243.
